Competition system
Qualification
If there are more than 32 competitors, a qualification round will be instituted in which a simple orienteering race will determine which 32 runners go into the elimination rounds.
Elimination rounds
In the elimination rounds, 2 runners will run together. They have “mirror courses” which means that one runs the sequence A-B and the other runs B-A. The one that has the faster finishing time will advance to the next stage.
